Facts about Jordan

1.  Teachers (public schools) make only about $400 U.S. dollars a month!

2.  All students take an exam when they are in 12th grade that determines what career you will have.  If you are in the top 1.5% of the exam - you go to school to be a doctor.  That means if you don't make it in the top 1.5% - you CANNOT be a doctor.  The next tier is engineer, then architect and so on.  Teachers are not ranked very high. (But should be...they TEACH the same kids who take the exams!!)

3.  Fathers are not allowed to volunteer in kindergarten classrooms due to cultural expectations.  The female teacher would not feel comfortable singing, dancing or acting silly when a man is in the room.  The fathers can volunteer outside of the classrooms.

Real quick before I head to a meeting...  This is what I had for dinner last night - anything look familiar!?
